and Ilford HP5 pushed to 3200
This weekend we met up with Jan and Nina from IDONTCOUTURE for a nice little dinner - chat - games kind of thing. After shooting a lot of color lately I finally decided to shoot my lovely Ilford HP5. This is my go-to black and white film which i normally push to 1600. This time I took the chance to try out how this film looks pushed one stop more to 3200. I have to say the grain is HUUUUGGGGGEEEE. The look was kind of weird at first sight but the more I look at the pictures the more I like it. I think pushing 2 stops is my normal behaviour with this film in all kind of situations but this time it was pretty dark and HP5 is able to capture low light and still make it look like a "normal” picture.
Most of the images were shot with f2.8 at 1/60 sec. I developed the film in my Jobo Tank for 18:30 minutes in HCD-50. As always all images were shot on my Leica M3 and a 50mm Summicron DR.
